Stress and Belly Fat
The body treats physical and mental stress the same way. It keeps the body out of the fat burning mode. So, those that are more care free and non serious in attitude, have the most success with weight loss.
Under stress the body goes after sugar for fuel first and proteins next, but not fat. The protein comes from muscle, specifically the thigh and then buttock muscles. Then fat replaces the muscle in the thigh and buttocks.
These stressed people then develop belly fat around the vital organs. And adding intense exercise just increases the stress which creates more fat. It’s better to do light walking, about 45 minutes a day, outside. Also, don’t cut calories, that’s more stress to the body.
Staring into a computer all day triggers Cortisol. However, going outside to walk and working in the yard balances things out. Also, make sure your sugar consumption is zero. Fat burning can’t take place with sugar consumption.
